Hazard, KY 41701 USA Description Located in the beautiful mountains of Southeastern Kentucky, the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center (EKVC) is a120 bed long-term care facility providing skilled nursing care and rehabilitation for Kentucky veterans.
EKVC is operated by the Kentucky Department of Veterans Affairs and was built for the sole purpose of takingcare of Kentucky Veterans.
The Eastern Kentucky Veterans Center is looking for a self- motivated, energetic full time housekeeper whopossesses the skills, knowledge, and desire to be a part of our team.
Expectations for this position include but are not limited to :
- Maintaining a clean, safe, orderly, comfortable, and sanitary environment,
- Maintaining records of maintenance and cleaning of assigned areas and supply usage,
- Performing janitorial and possibly laundry duties.
- Working with other departments to ensure safety and comfort of all residents at all times.
- Organization of housekeeping closets and supply storage areas.
- Floor care throughout facility, including tile, carpets, rugs, wood and vinyl flooring areas.
- Operating floor cleaning equipment such as, but not limited to; buffers, walk behind scrubbers, ride on scrubber, carpet cleaners, and waxing or refinishing equipment.

This position has an approved Locality Premium of $, based on the organizational structure and work county it is currently assigned to, in compliance with 101 KAR 2 : 034 Section 9(1).
